Research shows that products designed for specialized use are often tested to their limits, with users trying to break them. In prisons, psychiatric hospitals, reform schools, and various special housing units, products and environments are subject to higher levels of attempted damage. With the rise in vandalism even in public accessible restrooms, impact-resistant products are increasingly needed.

Due to the brittleness of porcelain and the cold, easily dented surface of stainless steel, Korpinen has developed a wall-mounted WC seat made from composite material. The goal was to create a product that matches a standard WC seat but is homier and more vandal-resistant. Advantages of the composite seat include a fixed seat ring, which can also be painted in a highlight color, and a solid, non-rubberized material.

Korpinen's composite WC seat is wall-mounted but resists breakage from jumping on it, thanks to a floor-reaching support leg.
