Hygtech Alliance participated at the AMiCI conference in Pori

HygTech Alliance, which develops and markets products, furniture and touchless solutions for premises with a high risk of infection, participated in the AMiCI conference in Pori.

The main speakers discussed related patents, legislation and regulations, various implementations in hospitals, and provided practical examples, among other things. The conference was targeted at industry researchers, the coating and hygiene industries, health care and hygiene leaders, health insurance organisations, and national and EU-level decision makers. The conference also offered a number of workshops, meetings and visits to pilot sites.

The same technology is applied in all the antimicrobial products of the Alliance. The members of the Alliance are Abloy, ISKU, Oras, Korpinen, Teknos and Lojer.

COST AMiCI:

The AMiCI network (Anti-Microbial Coating Innovations to prevent infectious disease) investigates the use of antimicrobial (nano)coatings to prevent the spreading of infections in the health care sector. The network is financed by COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology), a framework supporting transnational cooperation across Europe. It aims to enable breakthrough scientific developments leading to new concepts and products. It thereby contributes to strengthening Europe’s research and innovation capacities.
